The connector (as it comes from the factory) for the E3D motor to the Einsy board is not correctly wired. Note the wire sequence in the picture which is correct. Also, the Dupont flat 4 pin connector supplied by E3D is not correct and will be a very tight fit and does not lock in place. The correct connector can be purchased at Allied Electronics and is a Molex 50-57-9404 - material #70190598. These are small and only a few cents each. I got them in a week. If you do not have the wire sequence correct, the extruder motor will not run!
The hot end fan is very close to where my fingers move the filament lever. I have touched the fan several times and it does not hurt but I am afraid of breaking the blades. I the blad guard at this web site is very good and fits the Bearmera perfectly. You can print it with PLA but I printed it with flexible filament.
