Actually for tightening them I see that mentioned further down, though I didn’t find installing them.
I don’t actually find any place where the instructions talk about installing the X-axis smooth rod tensioning screws. The BearExxa guide shows them installed at some point but never seems tell you to install them. This guide and the Z-axis motion guide refer to loosening them but never to tightening them back up. Are they only installed when using the BearExxa X-axis on the original Prusa and not the bear upgrade perhaps?
I found it impossible to easily get the M3x14 screw into the top hole without what would have been excessive force due to the overhang above it on the printed case. It was much easier to remove the board entirely insert the screw in the top left and then put the board back which gave the couple of extra mm needed for the screw to drop in without any force.
Caping the bottom of the bearings with your finger until the rod reaches through will ensure if you are unlucky enough to dislodge any ball bearings from the LM8UUs that they should remain captive and easier to find.
Further to the comment by @safety3rd the frame guide would definitely appear to be the better order. If the X-axis twist has not yet been adjusted then it can be impossible to insert. In my case the weight of the X-axis was enough pressure to cause a couple of ball bearings to drop out. I was super lucky in my case and I was able to find and re-insert them. I then removed the rods and did it in the frame order. This works much better because you can also cap the bearing underneath with your finger just in case you get unlucky. When my rods got to the bottom I then realised the problem which was the X-axis twist.
I also had trouble with the bolt slipping in the part. Some Nylock nuts can take a fair bit of force the first time they are used, I’d recommend putting an M3 bolt all the way through the nut first to make it slightly easier the second time so it doesn’t put as much force on the part.
Tiny typo “There is n need to apply strong pressure”, missing the o.
I think we are repeating 3, 4 and 5 here.
